Carnival
I know the word “carnival,” but since it isn’t held in Japan, I wasn’t sure what it’s like.
I learned that it’s held 46 days before Easter. And looking at online videos, I found masked people, marching bands, dances and parades, a lady flying down from the sky, etc…..
It seems that masks aren’t always necessary, and it can be cheerful or gentle. They vary from country to country. However, one thing I think they all have in common is “everybody is going out into the town and having fun doing something different from usual.”

This song has the fastest tempo of all my songs but it has no difficult fingerings, so I can play it fully vigorously. I played it with a good feeling, misunderstanding that my playing has improved, and ended up playing last repeat one extra time. So I added the words “Repeat ad lib.” to the score. That solved the problem perfectly. 🙂
