Issay Tsumeki
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1960, and have lived there ever since.
When I was 42, I bought a guitar. I’ve enjoyed guitar playing just for myself, so never taking lessons nor playing in public. Not because of that, but I’m not very good at playing.
When I was 58, I suddenly started composing. I wanted to write simple songs that I could play.
Now I enjoy composing more than playing. My performance on YouTube is not very good, but please forgive me as it is intended as an introduction to my compositional works.
