Fountain in the Forest
Fountains are usually placed in the center of the largest plaza in the park so that they can be seen from everywhere and can be surrounded by many people. But what’s this fountain? Surrounded by forest, and just spouting water for itself.
Under the bright sunlight, but dark only this space, the flow continues in spite of human. What a mysterious and fascinating object!

I came across this photo by chance while searching for photos for the song “The Bright Summer Garden with Water”. It’s not the photo I was looking for, but the first phrase of this song immediately came to mind. I created four phrases for this mysterious fountain and composed them into a song that repeats twice.
It’s the waltz which has the rapid melody of 16th notes in the 4th measures of each phrase. It should be played at a constant tempo, but as I play, get into the song deeply and cannot help but get faster, and at the end of the song, I want to play again. This song is something drug-like for me.
