Silver Grass – Gold Moon


On the night of the full moon in September and two days before the full moon in October, Japanese households used to arrange silver grass to admire the moon.

Clear autumn air shows the moon brightest. Silver grass is the symbol of autumn nature.

Now, in the city, the sky is narrow and the night is bright, so this custom has become rare. But the moon is as beautiful as old days. We can still admire the moon, if we go to large place.

I made this song with Japanese scale. I don’t know the foreign people are familiar with it, but this theme have to be written in Japanese sense.

By the way, there is another thing that Japanese love on autumn nights. It’s the singing of autumn crickets. I practiced this song while listening to them, but now I have to close the windows to record. It would be better if crickets’ song could be recorded together.
