My Guitar

When I was a high school student, my classmate gave me guitar music books, so I bought a cheap gutar. Because I wanted to enjoy ‘listening’ rather than ‘playing’ the guitar songs, I didn’t play etudes, but tried to play the fascinating songs of Tárrega and Sor. There was no internet in those days, so if I wanted to listen to those songs I had to play them myself.
It was so reckless for a beginner that I could not play them at all, and I gave the guitar to my cousin.
When I was 42, I suddenly wanted to play guitar again, and I went to YAMAHA shop in Ginza.
The shop assistant first offered me a 400 dollars guitar. I hadn’t played guitar for years. I couldn’t remember any songs, but I could play scales and some alpeggio, so she recommended 500 dollars guitar. She said it would sound louder because the wood used was better. But I thought it would be a waste to buy an excellent guitar with my skills, so I bought a 400 dollars one.
The guitar model number is YAMAHA CG-151S. It’s not a high-end guitar, but the sound is beautiful enough, and it taught me the joy of composing. Good guitar it is.
